Help please my poor dd2515 is not happy
Ok so I took the plunge and made a ported box for my dd2515. I am not to sure if I made the port properly. The box is 4.5cuft and for this box dd recomends 72sqin of port area. My port measures 4" by 18" by 16" and is 4" off the back wall. If someone can confirm this is the correct port it would be greatly apprecated. The box just doesnt sound right. Any help or suggestions are welcome.
P.S. Im am using a us amps usa 150 to power it, could this inclosure be too big for only 450w of power.
Thanks
Kerri

the box is correct if you built it 4.5 cu.ft internal volume Plus the port.
I think your problem may just be a lack of power... the more port area you have the harder it is to achive any kind of port velocity at lower listening levels. with 72.sq.in of port it'll only really whine when cranking it pretty good.
