JBL/Crown GTI Install build pics
got the BPX 2200.1 and the GTO 75.4 inverted on the ceiling
above the rear seats.

now I got room for the 4 woofer enclosure and things are starting to
look alot cleaner...when I strip the interior in the spring to Dynamat
I will be replacing all the power wire and RCA's as well as adding
a capacitor, digital distribution block and a second battery
above the rear seats.

Al, change up your plans. Put the spare back in (so you aren't stressed about driving without one) and mount the amps like that. It will look pimp with yo chrome wheelz.
you don't have to do a boring install.

Original poster, please tell me how these amps are mounted?
how does as fly land on the ceiling?....
I dunno either...it all started out with a paper clipp and an
elastic band
I still need to make power / ground bus bars to get the wiring
the way I want but it all worked out..the amp rack will also match
the pods and x-over racks

the amps are countersunk into the rack 1/2" and the racks are cut out
behind the amps..there is sufficient space for air circulation to keep the amps cool...these amps actually run cooler now than they did mounted
the other way

I have always thought about doing something like this with amps (years ago) but could never figure out how to mount the rack to the roof.
What did you use to mount?
By the by .. this is one of the sickest installs I have ever seen man. Amazing.
