wow those are great speakers but ya shoulda bought one pair and paid someone to do a nicer install on em.
With tweeters at your elbows and woofers at your hips and knees I can only imagine how poorly they must image but yeah a few feet behind the car with the doors open the stage must be great.

Frankly I thought he did a very good job and met his goals very nicely. The car the system is installed in is not exactly new and cutting edge, so I think he did a good job putting a new spin on an old ride. There was a lot of attention to detail in the build, the complaints come with the finish of the final product. Frankly those tweeter 'horns' look like a total pain to mount in most cars and while they were put where they wont image they are very sucessful from the appearance of the location point of view. Esthetics's of the car and the build is a toughie to synchronize.

^ Well how very PC of you John..

And, to be clear, my criticism of the install is solely due to the tweeter installation. Yeah I don't dig the finish on the mids but that's ok, but the tweeters...

Of course it's his car and I bet that tonally it's fine. Imaging could be a little rough.

I had a tough time trying to find a place for those
gigantic X-overs...
this is what I did to them... they are countersunk into
the the racks and bolted on solid

I have a new plan for the tweeters..I'll try and have it done over
the next couple of weeks

the tweeter location is only a short temp thing....
I did not want to wait 2 or 3 weeks for tunes
I hope to have the pods done in a week or two
depending on how much free time I have

Its like the perfect party car, discrete sleeper car that wont attract law enforcements attention, then pop the trunk and open the doors, tap the keg and get to it. Probably the nicest Tempo in over 3000 Km...

started the pods on the pillars for the tweeters today....
I used a pair of nylons to get the initial shape...

very stretchy and easy to work with

I am going with one pair in the wave guides and one
pair with out....
