im sorry but i know you have spent time on the glass work on this tweeter install but you are going to have the most horrific staging because the tweeters are pointing straight at you .......but thats just my point of view, and speaking about that the fact that now half of your windshield is taken up with speakers ummmmm thats just me but wont it be hard too see throuhgt them? im just curious, and dyes i know people do pillar pods all the time but they dont obstruct your view ... well theres my 2 cents

the tweeters are angled towards the center of the vehicle
and are placed just above the dash level..
it will be easy to see when the moldings are put back in
the vehicle

well yes and no... the tweeter angle isn't the biggest problem IMO, the issue is not with the design but more with path length distance. I assume this was all tested prior to the fabrication stage to be sure your Time Alignment would give you the PLD you need for good imaging. A lot of folks in car audio feel tweeters should be listened to off axis, I think a lot of that depends on the tweeter and the build. A driver should generally (but not always) sound best on axis and that frankly is uber difficult in car audio unless you do a serious build like the one shown. speaker radiation patterns are not linear nor are they predictable, you have to have the information given to you by the manufacturer. I find the off access freq response to be less consistent than the on axis response for many tweets. Frankly a lot of people will disagree with me and all I ask is you simply test and see for yourself.

In my current build I searched for the best tweeter location for direct and indirect sound, the proper location was NOT CONSISTANT it depended on which tweeter was being used. This build I am working on is VERY BASIC especially compared to the one being displayed here yet the tweeter location took me 3 weeks to find!!! And the location was not one I wanted to use just the best one to use. SOOOOOO experiment experiment experiment

these tweeters have a 60* listening axis....
they are very forgiving with different install
configurations...

I'll be testing these pods out for a few days before
I do the finishing and see how I like them

here are the test pods for the tweets....
those wave guides really make the stage sound big...
the tweeters in the flush mounts are angled towards
the other side

the imaging is very good and the wave guides are tucked into the
corners ...they have no effect on my veiw at all

well I tried several configurations with the tweeters
and I like this one the best....
the pods are directed to the center of the car between the front seats
the imaging is very good..I am more than happy with
the sound
