Jbl gti1000 enclosure build
 

I got gifted an old Jbl gti1000 sub

After googling all the info I could gather , I have decided to go for a ported box .
The manufacturers specs say to build a 1.5 cu box . What I don't know is whether that includes the displacement of the driver itself.
Some people on forums reckon 2.0 ported gives good results.
Has anyone built an enclosure for one of these and can point me in the right direction?

I sent JBL an email and asked them if their specs for the box volume included displacement of the speaker . This is all I need to know to get building.
