Number crunching

Looking to design and build a new sub box for my gimpy old 12's. Numbers are looking like 30W X 17L X 21H outside dimensions (3/4 MDF). Slot ported at 17 X 4.5 X 22.75 (Internal dimensions).

Those numbers give me an internal of 4ish ft^3 volume for the box, and a tuning of 39hz.

Anyone wanna crunch the numbers fast for me and see if I still got it? =)

Subwoofer Enclosure Calculators, Fraction to Decimal, Parallel, Series, Port Length and Volume Calculators i dunno if the link will work i never done it before..but from what i was getting it would be tuned to 41hz i think

It's close enough provided the port is 15.5" (not 17") x 4.5", not sure how you planned to port it.

the port will be 17" X 4.5" internal dimensions

slot port along the top... just realized I did make a mistake, going to have to be 30 X 18.5 X 21, port going along the 18.5 side (for 17") and down the 21. Subs up, port up ( It's in a hatch, but not enough room for a port back)

Wow, no one... that sucks
