Should I build one box with a single shared chamber (2 cu.ft) or a chamber for each woofer (1 cu.ft x 2)?

I was thinking of dual chamber cause the box would be stronger.

one big chamber, or seperate chambers wont really make that big of a difference.

I on a 33vx and is sounds AMAZING in a 40 liter ported box tuned to about 30 hz.
I have never tried it in a sealed box, but Focal definitely recommends porting these subs.

</font>[/QUOTE]The technical dtata sheet that came with my 33VX specifically states "This subwoofer is designed to reproduce bass frequencies when loaded in a small volume (40 to 70 litre) bass-reflex chamber".

My mistake killer.. I thought you where talking about the 27wx's that greyZ34 owns. The 33VX's (Like any other sub) could/would be different .

This is the only sub of the 3 in the Utopia series that has a sealed and ported recommendation.

The JMLabs Grand Utopia Be speakers use Utopia woofers in ported enclosures.

If it were my install, I would port them to Focal's specs.
Try it sealed, and if it doesn't turn out, you could always modify the enclosure and port it.
Get ready for the best bass you have EVER heard!

Doesn't the amps power get halved when given to both subs? If the amp is 1000 watts then it should give 500 watts to each sub.

Therefore no problem???
