Porting
 

I have built a 3.7cuFT box for my car that will house a 15" kicker L5. Due to it irregular shape i need to use round ports made of pvc pipe. I want to tune it to 40 hz but when i do the math with a 6 inch diameter tube i need a 8.43 inch long tube, that is one big ass hole, so i did the math assuming i had a 4 inch diameter the tube only needs to be 3.9 inch long. Do any of these numbers seem right? I have no idea how long a round port usually is as this is my first box. Also would running multiple ports be of any advantage?
