power ratio?
ive got 900 watts rms total going to two 12's, so 450 a piece. i wanna know if theres a power ratio to determine how powerful of speakers i should get to upgrade my mids and highs. i dont want to spend money on speakers only to have them be drowned out by bass. thanks. ive searched the forums and i came up nil

I like to shoot for 2 or 3 times the power on the sub as the front end.

Mine's currently, 80 watts to each tweeter, 200 watts to each mid, 100 watts to each rear fill co-axial, and 1000 watts to the single 12" sub...so about 2x the power to the sub compared to the front components...sounds awesome!

^^sure, 4 morel mids at 150 watts each, and 4 tweets at 100 watts, and a couple of 9" midbass woofers at 200 watts each...1400 watts rms

Planned:
100x2 tweeters 100x2 mids 360x2 midbass 7000x1 subs Should be an alright balance for me. But I'm a bass junkie. But I do like it all to sound good to. |
