[(15 - 1.5)x (10 - 1.5) x (13 - 1.5) / 1728] - 0.092 = 0.67167 ft^3
So I assume you've made a mistake in your calculations or something. Or maybe I have ...
By the way, I'd go with a bigger box

Yes I gave the box' outer dimensions
15x10.25x13 and I'm using 3/4" MDF. (If I earlier
mentioned I was using 10" height, I was wrong).
I asked someone about considering the space a
speaker takes up and if that should be taken into
account when determining ft^3 and was told no,
the recommended enclosure volume doesn't include
the speaker.
With the dimension I gave, the inner volume is:
13.5" x 8.75" x 11.5" = 1319" = 0.78ft^3
I haven't been told or read anywhere whether
the Type-R's 0.5-0.8ft^3 includes the speaker
or not.
What should I do?

Ok I did some reading and I have decided to build
a box that compensates for the subwoofer volume.
Thus, I think I will build a new box that is:
15.5" x 11" x 13" exterior volume
14" x 9.5" x 11.5" interior volume
Which equates to: 1529.5in^3 or 0.885ft^3
And the subwoofer takes up 0.092ft^3 so that
leaves me: 0.793ft^3 in the end.

While we're on this topic on the Type R.. anyone mind helping me with the port length? I'm looking to tune to 33 hz or 37 hz... I can't decide on that lol. I'm going to make the port a pvc port... I just don't know how long it should be. The box dimensions are going to be 22 x 15 x 13.5.
The sub I'll be using is the 2 + 2 ohm 12 inch Type R, I'll be mounting it on the 22 x 15 side.. if that matters.
