Sealed Vs Ported
Which subwoofer box do you prefer? Exclude the purpose of the system.

They are different high pass filters; that's about it. Naturally, one is not better than the other, but one may be more suitable for an application than another. Sealed almost always in a vehicle and IB in the house.

Here the most of the people, want louder systems, that why i always use vented, since it gives tipically 3 dB´s more..... Even in sq cars, i use them, i only work with the tunnig.

This is silly, a proper SQ enclosure can be sealed, vented, whatever and sound outstanding.
A car with SPL in mind will generally go vented but the owner may prefer sealed for any one of a number of reasons. |
