Should I invert my sub?
I have a RE Audio XXX 18" with a 10 cubic feet box and i was wondering if it would be a good idea to invert my sub?

only if you want to see the magnet...no real sonic benefits even though the enclosure will be slightly larger, the amount isn't enough to affect the sound enough to hear it.
|
Ya its just a cosmedic idea...Just wondered if there would be much difference in the lower level bass
|
Yeah....even a cubic foot more volume wouldn't make much of a difference in a box that's already 10 cubes, much less the xxx's 0.3 cubes of displacement...nice sub though...so if you can mount it magnet out...it'll be an awesome sight.
|
The only thing is the sub would be standing up blocking my rear view line of sight. the magnet would just about touching the roof...lol
|
Show off that sub!!

On top of cosmetics, it could help with cooling...
Do it  |
I want to do it but im concerned in the outside basket noise or any noise that will or might occure over time. I have all the neon and effects that will make it look totally sweet but im hesitant on inverting it because of thoes issues

Noise??? It's an RE XXX, not an E-Bay knockoff, right? What noise would there be, given that it will be working like hell making deebeez if it were making noise. I would HOPE it could drown out any noises with the deebeez :cheeky4:
