silicone

hey i was just wondering how long i should wait for my silicone to dry before putting my subs in????

Dukk 04-28-2011 02:18 PM

no need to wait. That is a widely distributed falsehood.

Silicone?

Did you use silicone to repair a woofer such as the cone or the dustcap? Silicone is not a reliable adhesive for speakers. Goop is excellent for repairing ripped cones or torn/cracked surrounds. That is why silicone is never used in the manufacture of speakers.

If you used silicone for some other purpose then fine. I just wanted stop you from damaging your woofers.
