Is this sort of box good?

Hey guys! im just wondering if this sort of box http://www.brash.com/files/2009/01/t...imass_main.jpg

with this subwoofer http://images.highspeedbackbone.net/...mainv02-ec.jpg

i will change the dimensions so it goes with the box. Or is just a normal slot port box better?

Any suggestions? Thanks!! :smilie_da

In short, no. The box is designed around the sub. If the sub changes than so should the box.

I would use a slot port if that box is tuned high, it should say on the back.

For HT or computer use, tune between 20-30 Hz. 20 if you watch more movies than music, 30 if you listen to more music than movies. It's a smaller setup, you might as well shoot for 30 Hz to get better output.

The sub is a good choice if the price is right, although there are better 250-500W subs out there for the same price.

Thanks! Sorry for the late reply. IM just wondering, If im going to be listening to music... Should i use a slotted port of aero port? Also i read somewhere that the box should me a bit bigger than recommended? Thanks for your help!

Also, i dont have that box. Im just thought that the box design would increase the output. Lol

Bump. Anyone?

Slot or aero, it doesn't really matter, but when using an aero port you can change the tune by switching out the port for a longer one.

Try .5-1 cube for an 8", 1.25-1.5 cubes for a 10", and 2-2.5 cubes for a 12". Use .75" MDF, 1.5" on the side the sub(s) are on, and counter-sink them .75".

Look at the Sound Solutions Audio DCON 300W RMS in 10 & 12, and Fi Audio X 300W RMS in 10 & 12.

Thanks for all your help! I really appreciate it!

i hope you know how to design an enclosure.

and to be honest, there is no need to tune super low for HT use.

anything around 35hz will serve your purpose just fine

Lol dont worry about designing a box.. I just wanted to know what type would be the best... :)

Ok so im going to tune the box to 33 Hz. Thanks for the help!

Sorry for the late reply.
