spl gods how does this sound?

I just recently got a Orion H2 10.2 sub and a Orion 2500d amp and running a 260 amp alt., 0 awg wire, and big 3, my question is Im building a box for my sub, I drive a 01 cavy, facing the box into the car and sealing the trunk completly off from the inside of the car, my box I was thinking bout going with is 24" Wide x 14" High x 18" Deep with the port 4" wide total port length 33" so 1.72 cubic feet, tuned to 44.9 Hz, now does anyone have any opinions or suggestions on this design?

Careful with those dimensions, I drive a 97 cavy and my polk audio db212-2
db212-2 Car Subwoofer from Polk Audio
DOES NOT fit. So to make it work I'm plasma cutting the triangle shaped pieces of framing on the inside top on the trunk to squeeze it in then welding it back up, will be a perfect fit then. Will also have a 1" bar cage on the other side sealed up nicely, so should a thief get my trunk open, he ain't gettin past it. Will work beautifully, until I need to get to my spare tire...

Awesome, how does you cav sound? I mean these things have walls comparable to that of a kleenex box. I swear sometimes I hear birds in my audio, turns out they are on the telephone lines as I zip by. If I had $500 I would totally opt for dynamatting everything once or twice. Haha

I sprayed my whole car with cascade deaner much better than dynamat IMO but I had the loudest j-body with no wall last year in jco;)

i must say, this is amusing to read.

Don't waste your money on dynamat for a cavalier, it does not help with SPL at all..

You'll want your box bigger and tuned higher..

Also cutting metal will bump you from Street classes in dbdrag :)

Cutting metal away will raise your class rating in DB drag? REALLY How so? See I didn't know that and to think I was going to cut a chunk off my rear seat bracket??
