Hey guys,
this is the first time Ill be using threaded rod for a box build.
I have a couple of questions:

1. What is the preferred diameter to buy?

2. My internal dimensions are 13.5H x 32.5W x 30.5D, so would I just run a single lenth
of rod from front to back OR left to right? Or if not, how many pieces in total should I use for that size of
box?

Subs are TWO AQ HDC3 15's, or possibly THREE HDC3 12's

1" at least, and minimally one ran left/right and one up/down, to use your analogy. Do not over tighten or you will break the enclosure seals.

i'm using 1/2" in my wall, it works great and gained .7 from one piece in the middle of my port

How about 3/4" threaded rod?
Wouldnt 1" rod be too much?? Would a box for two HDC3 15's flex that much?
Subs will be double baffled and firing upwards towards the hatch, port facing the rear

You're on the right path, build it solid. If you can only get 3/4" put more of them in the enclosure. Though to me, if you're going to do something like this, build it once. Hold that good build quality mentality all around the system (every aspect). It will only add to your over-all efficiency. It's only physics

As well- if you are going to bolt the enclosure to the vehicle, isolate it from the floor by using rubber mounts. This will help output by not letting any (if any) residual vibration energy being transferred to the vehicle and wasted.
