Hey guys im looking for some ideas to make my sub box look a little more pretty lol i built this about a year ago while my subs were on order and never got it finished because they showed up and i was all hot to get them pounding. now i am looking to sel my system and the raw mdf box isent cutting it for buyers. i was planning on smoothing it out and painting it but that would involve alot of work. then i thought about carpet but i couldent figure out a way to do the slot ports without it looking like cr*p. and the same with fiberglass. here is a pic of my box and you can tell me what you think. thanks

Just use some black felt from a fabric store and some spray adhesive. Make sure you spray extra glue around the port, then put a weight on it and let it dry over night and you should be good.

i found this video to help alot.

Get yourself a good sharp blade. Single side razor blades seem to be the best. Paint inside the port and make sure you do a 1/2" on the baffle around the ports. Then just use a metal straight edge and cut the carpet around the opening. A few pics of my box....
