Am I going to have any trouble getting over the border with a 10 year old conviction for DUI?

I don't think so.. But you can call a customs agent and ask.. wouldn't be a bad idea.

This is actually a good topic to start.. Anyone that might have a history should look into if it will be a issue at the boarder. Call them.

also, All cars crossing should bring enough tools to allow them to remove/un-install any component of there car.. Favourite items are for customs to see inside enclosures, and under false floors etc. Also all components should be able to at least power on.

I think you should be fine - but it's def. worth a call to US immigration to confirm.

Course they'll quite often just wave you through after a few questions - so without a id check, they won't know.

Of course, you don't get waved across if you have dyed hair... just ask Peter

Hopefully everything is fine there. All components power up of course. It's possible to get my subs out for them to see in the encloser if they want, but they can't really see behind the trim panel that the EQ's are on. I can honestly say it's a whole days work to get behind there. But from inside the car where the trunk opens into the cab, where my cap is mounted on the sub box you can kinda see feel around if they need to. If I make a cover so you can't see anything but the cap i will make sure it's easily removeable.

You should be fine, my freind was searched and what not and he had a dui and they checked his records and what not and I think it was ok beacause it was over 3 years... but call just to be sure

I have no place left to hide any thing if I wanted to. Cool can't hide any thing in the Sub box as it is plexi.Lets go go go!

The only hassle we had was with the fact that our car has so many stickers on it, it was considered commercial vehicle. we really didn't want commercial vehicle status. charge is kinda high. we argured until they let us pass. they checked the car with a sniffing dog and found no drugs so off we went. had the same trouble coming back. couple sniffs from the dog and we were back in.
