Porsche has confirmed that it will begin producing it’s small SUV the Cajun in 2013. Porsche is investing almost $700 million in their Leipzig factory to accommodate the new SUV.

The Cajun is actually based on the Audi Q5 and will sport an Audi/VW power plant and an all wheel drive system based around the Audi Quattro.

Thursday Porsche confirmed some information that has been rumored for some time.Porsche answered a lot of conjecture Thursday when it announced the U.S. debut of two designs. The German automaker will unveil the Cajun little SUV stateside in 2013. A diesel model of the Cayenne, already on the roads in Europe, will get to our shores in 2012.
