just wondering something......how the hack can i tell if this thing is working or not??????

Try charging it off your battery, then testing it with a voltmeter.

u could always use a BRAX stiffening cap tester..

I just installed the exact same one in my system (had it in my old system three years ago- still had a .42 volt charge in it after all this time.)

You can also use a DMM - Digital Multi-meter or else get a cheapo 12 volt test light from Canadian Tire and test it that way. (The test light is what I used to charge the cap when I installed it- along with the DMM to make sure it wasn't overcharged before hooking up the system.)

well it's working but i think im going to need a 3 cause lights are dimming faster and faster

I can't remember what car you drive and I don't know what you get 1F caps for but for the price of two more you could probably get a larger alternator which is probably a better bet..

If you haven't done the "Big 3" under the hood yet, a few feet of 4ga and some connecters are a lot cheaper than a new cap...

instead of more caps do like Dukk suggested... get a HIGH OUTPUT alternator ! to add to it maybe a better than factory battery... something like an yellow top optima or a hawker oddysey battery

no man im driving a new chrysler 300 im going to buy a new cap it's cheaper............i found a power acoustik 5 farat for 76 us dollars think im going to go with that
