Question 1 or 2 amp - difference?

Just a quick question, I have 2 15" (dual 4 ohm) showing 1 ohm on my amp right now. The amp is 800RMS@1 or 2 ohm and 1500 max. The subs are 750 RMS and 1500 max. The question I have, for SPL how much difference and is it worth running 2 amps for the subs rather than just one for both?

Thanks
