Alright, decided to wait until summer to really go hard on my new whip. In the mean time I have a 05' 15L5 and a pg xenon 200.2 (400 watts). I just want to slap together a sealed box and was wondering with only 400 watts what size enclosure I should go with. Kicker recommends between 1.5 and 6 cubic feet. This will be mostly for rock/rap with a little of everything else.

 

you can buy a solobaric sealed box on e-bay for 7.99 US.
why bother making one?

I would guess you need a box about in the middle of kickers spec range. Larger will give you more low end.

 

I haven't checked on ebay, but wouldn't shipping be outrageous? Also, I probably have enough spare wood from other builds to make one. Maybe I'll try about 2.5-3 cubic feet. It is just a temp setup.
