1986' 300ZX - Speaker Size & Dash Kit Q's

Hey guys, I have a TurboCharged 86' 300ZX in my driveway 'Midnight metallic blue :worshippy' left by an old time friend in need of an install. He's leaving for London England tomorrow for two weeks, and asked me to take care of it for him, leaving me $400 to install new components, new speaker wires and an Amp Install Kit, also leaving an older Pioneer (DEH-P2600) Headunit. My main question is, what are the factory speaker size's, and what are the chances of getting a dash install kit for this car, the console is insane.. Nightrider style :smokin: If anyone can let me know asap that would be great. I would be out ther tinkering with it now, but Its pooring rain and The garage is full.. :thumbsdow

Hey,
nice car!
i used to have an 87 2 seater and loved it!
now i have a 92 TT and love it just a bit more :)
although the centre console is huge, its great to fit almost anything in there... it comes apart real easy, including the door pannels. i don't know the speaker size but that should be an easy find on http://www.z31.com/

good luck!!

We'll , I' ve finally got the dash apart, and the new Metra Dash kit installed.. Now all im left to do is hardwire the headunit into the Factory Wiring.. The only problem im having is, when I pulled the factory radio/hvac control (Both Digital) out of the dash , there was close to 15 SEPERATE harnesses that plug to several places on both units.. I know which ones will be used with the Hvac controls, but out of the ones i'm eliminating from the factory radio, I need to find out which ones will calibrate with the new headunit.. The 86' GLL models also came with an external amp(under pass. seat) and the dreaded "Bitching Betty" Voice notification system.. This is gonna be fun.. Pics up soon.:smokin: h

I think I may have found some info on wiring, and the 'voice notification' , but if anyone can help with some tips, would be appreciated ~ Thanks in advance, ~
