what would sound better for spl, two Audiobahn AW1000Q(600rms each) or one 12" Kicker Solobaric L5(600rms)

my amp is a hifonics tx1005d (350rms @ 4 ohms 700 rms @2 ohms)

 

i would get the one kicker 12. it would be perfect for your amp. i have never liked audiobahn subs, to me there all about looks and not a lot of performance.

 

If you go for the 1 l5 get the dual 4 ohm coils so u can wire down to 2 ohm final

 

Last time I checked, SPL sounded horrible

how much room do you have to work with?? I'm sure the L5 a good enclosure would walk all over those audiopawns

 

if you want spl, go with 4 solo x's about 2000 rms each

 

if your looking at SPL then you want the kicker L5 or L7
i just sold my L7's i was able to just break the 150DB mark using the zx2500.1 amps. i would suggest getting the L7....L7-750RMS/L5-500RMS
im now upgrading to 3 soloX 12's with 3 zx2500.1 amps for the summer of 2008



im a huge kicker fan.
bin using them in contests/shootouts/deathmatches for a number of years now and i must say they pound like no other.its like having walls slamming in your face.

PS.i was using 1 zx2500.1 amp per sub.4ohm coils bridged down to 2ohm.
so i would say the L7 can take a bit more then 750rms.

 

Isn't 4ohm dual's final impedance 1 ohm or 8 ohm.. ??

I could be wrong though.
