2 10" MTX Jackhammer JH45 Not Working
 

I bought a pair of 10" Jackhammer subs at a garage sale earlier this year which i now realize isn't the greatest idea without testing them first. At the time I didn't have the rest of my system hooked up I just jumped on the deal because it was cheap. Now I have the rest of my system hooked up i'm using a Power Acoustik wiring kit with a Rockford Fosgate Punch 45. I have tried it out on many different sub woofers now and it always works great but for some reason my Jackhammers wont work. This confuses me because they seem to be in mint condition. it is obvious that they are not blown out they just simply do not make the slightest bit of noise when i hook them up. I have tried taking the woofers out of the box and hooking them up directly and still nothing. I'm wondering if it could possibly be a connection problem within the speakers themselves? Please comment if you have any idea what could be the problem. Thank you!

Read up oh how to test a subwoofer with a dmm. Google is your friend.

There could be many things wrong with a sub. The leads could be broken or voice coil could be blown and with both of those the speaker could look mint. Use a multimeter to test the ohms on the subwoofers. If its 0 or really high then you have your answer.
