2 15" L7's

Hey looking at buying a pair of L7 15's. I have a us amps md2. Just wondering that if i under power a pair of them that much i would get clipping and potentially damage them?

I could just use one but i have 2 why not use them right, im getting them used off the board so.

Kyle.

how many watts RMS does that amp put out? does it make its maximum power at 1 or 2 ohms? what kind of voice coils do the subs have ?

I'm not familar with that amp, but the 15" L7's handle a lot each. So if you plan to get them you should plan to power them the correct way from the start. Otherwise I see no point. If you can't power them, get 10's or 12's. No sense in having a sub you can't fully power. Unless you plan to get a bigger amp sometime in the future.

Sorry i guess i should have posted more info. The L7's are 4ohm DVC. And the us amps MD2 is just under 1530rms @ 1ohm

So just over 760 rms going to each. So i guess my question is, should i run them at 760 each. Or just use one @ 2ohms. Will running them under power that much cause any problems?

Thanks,
Kyle.

as long as you electrical system will hold up you are good to go.
you will be underpowering your subs but if your gains are set right you shold not have a problem

Power

I'm going to be giving one of my L7 15's later on down the road a zx2500.1 each..... and I did 2400 wrms to a L7 10" and used it for daily driving...... I personally wouldn't under power them..... get a 1000wrms each and you'll be happy
