im preaty sure wire is wire. there is no need to spend 200$ dollers on wire when you can get it off an old welder or battery charger.

i dunno ive looked at the welding cable I dont like it........and not as flexible and blue or red 0 guage wire looks nice under the engine bay.

i am forced to agree with you on the flexability issue. i had to put a ground in a tight spot and the wire does not bend well into tight spots. but for 2.50 per foot i can deal with it.

Uhhh... no.... that's incorrect.

I've been using a run of 1/0 welding wire in my daily driver for about 3-4 years now and have not had any issues.

I don't know where you heard that from... but someone is feeding you some BS!

2 awg will run 1140 wrms no sweat,not everyone needs 0 awg or am i the only one that can live with minimal voltage loss?
Are my ears decieving me or am i losing 6 1/2 watts ? lol

Yeah, some of these guys been reading too much ad hype. I still have a piece of 4awg welding cable from 1987, that i used in my last system...worked fine! By the way, I'm an ex-heavy truck mechanic, that used a super heavy duty Lincoln stick welder for 6 years in much worse environmental conditions than any car audio wire will ever see...and the welding cable was never changed and worked as well on day 1 as it did the day I left. I'm talking about welding fire truck axles, and cement truck suspensions in place here...requires a bit of current!!
