Wow you guys are crazy *****. 2KW on an h2 10.. Owning a 12 and 15, i found they max out around 1KW. anything more than that is just a waste IMHO. If you are porting it, I dont see why you would need More than 1000 RMS on this sub.

This sub is rated @ 2000 rms watts and 2500 peak. Maybe you are confused with another sub battyrida?

I appreciate all the input. I think I will get a hold of Kenwood and see if their amps will handle the load strapped, then pick up another one as I can get a new one for like $230 canadian shipped to the door.

If not, 1 ohm monos are fairly cheap.

Seems to me like you're the only one from my standpoint as every review including my own says this driver likes some power to really shine.

Including this one: http://www.icixsound.com/vb/article.php?a=8

Specifically where it says:"I feel totally compelled to note something regarding the H2's output tests. The H2 is one speaker specifically that we noticed was extremely power hungry. Given particular impedances and output avaliable (2400w) we literally ran out of power on this speaker before it was visibly at it's limits more than once while in a enclosure.

With that said I believe the H2 could do better output wise but will require signifigantly more power to do so. Unfortunatly the 2400w on tap was the maximum power input we designated for these tests. Next year we will increase power input. The H2 is expressly a HIGH POWER subwoofer and with that said, it likes insane amounts of power to reach it's full potential. I feel at times we were unable to reach it's full potential becuase we did not have more than 2400w on tap.

The H2 is a good offering from a very large company that could probably make a living selling a lesser product. It's advantage is it's insane power handling abilities. I was constantly amazed at the power the speaker would soak up with no problems. It may not be the biggest in the test but by the way it handles power you'd assume it would be the size of a oil tanker."

That's a crazy review Hardwrkr, maybe I should just buy a Hifonics Maxximus...lol
Actually I found out the Kenwood amps are O.K. running strapped @ 2 ohms, so that's where I'll start.
Thanks again for the input.

Just remember dude, although you have the amps that can put out that much power it doesn't neccesarily mean they will if you do not have the right electrical system. I'd suggest before you wam that thing to its full potential you do the big three and have some 2 or 0 gauge ground wire to the battery.

Its a 2x2ohm setup and whether you run 2000W rms at 4 ohms or 2000W rms at 1 ohm its still roughly the same draw. So my recommendation would be run it 1 ohm and run something like a SAZ1500D Sundown Audio D class at 1 ohm and that would give you roughly 1800Wrms or so.
