2001 Silverado

Hey guys I am new to aftermarket audio and there is just so many options. I want to put a system in my 01 Silverado, any recomendations on what exactly I should look at. I want to spend around $1500, I am thinking 1 sub is probably pleanty, amp, speakers, and head unit. If i get new speakers i will probably need new wiring to make them sound their best correct? Can i get a decent setup for this money, any info would be greatly appreciated.

you can get a great setup for everyday listening in that budget..... for subs i would recomend 2 10" pioneer shallow subs under the rear seats and a decent amp to power them get some good speakers..... keep them in their stock locations you would also bennifit from upgading stock wiring...if you add a decent head unit you could run the speakers directly off the HU or if you want even more SQ then get a basic 4 channel amp....... you could look into some gear on the buy/sell section on this forum

$1500 is plenty to make a great everydy system

nice truck too

Do the front doors have a tweeter mounting location in the armrest or in the door at all?
