2007 chevy optra HELP!

hi, i have a 2007 chevy optra and i cant seem to figuer out how to get the head unit out. i tried just taking off the face plate, but that doesnt seem to work due to the heating and cooling controls are very hard to disconnect going that route. is there anyone other way to remove the unit. it was hella easier with my 93 honda prelude lmao.... ... help

These cars are pretty scarce and I have never worked on one but if it was me:

Dash looks like this?

If so, pull off the climate control ***** to see if there are any screws behind them. If not, or once removed, pry the fascia off from the bottom.

There is a slight chance the silver part where the hazard switch comes off and is hiding additional screws but I doubt it.

It wouldn't be the first car that the cables had to be unclipped either at the dash controls or inside the dash for the plate to come away.

Sorry to say but it's because of the car. The Optra was part of the "Other Chevy" line and was based on a Daewoo Lacetti and only sold in Canada - that means no US support.

I found the Optra is basically the same car as the US Suzuki Forenza. I found dash kits from the major players for this car so try looking for information on that model.
