2007 Jeep Radio DIED Need Suggestion, What is this Factory Electronic devices addon?
The Radio Crapped out on my wifes 2007 Jeep. We found out tonight
We need to replace it and I was looking for suggestions. So we went to Futureshop and they said that we needed something that would continue the factory door chimes codes etc It was an extra $200. What is this thing and is it needed (FYI I don't really want to use futureshop but my wife wanted to see what her options were) This is what the radio looks like now http://cgi.ebay.com/ebaymotors/07-09-JEEP-WRANGLER-RADIO-CD-MP3-PLAYER_W0QQitemZ200420497190QQcmdZViewItemQQptZCar _Audio_Video?hash=item2ea9fe1726 |
Any Suggestions for a fair head unit.
FYI The Jeep is occasionaly driven with no roof or doors It may be nice to get a DVD player in it and possibly a bluetooth phone thing but any suggestions are appreciated I hope to spend less than a thousand all in |
Yes you definitely need a interface harness. Your factory system runs data through the headunit, this data stream needs to be kept intact or you can expect fault codes to be thrown. The integration harness keeps the data stream intact, allows you to integrate into the system and in some cases provides you output for additional options.
It is not cheap but it is necessary. Add me to msn, forbidden at telus dot net and message me or PM me your phone number and I will call. |
isnt it under warranty?

What year is that Cuda? I just aquired a 69 convertable myself, my cousin factory ordered it and now it has made it's way into my garage.
