2009 Products/CES - Interested?

So, I'm curious. CES has come and gone, and info, press releases, pictures of the show etc out on the net, but I don't think I have seen one thread on here about any of the new product from anyone.. Alpine, Clarion, JL, Hertz etc etc

Is there not much interest in it until the new stuff appears, people not buying much new gear, or is the info not getting to you the consumer?

Let me know.. Thanks!

i'll tell you exactly what it is - product saturation. No one cares about all that stuff anymore. It's new today, and tomorrow you can buy it on ebay for half the price.

All these "innovations" remind me of dish washers, washing machines and micro waves. There are so many but they all do the same thing.

On top of that, manufacturers try to out do each other and come with products and features that most day to day consumers have no need, demand or knowledge to even put to use.

I was hoping for companies like Alpine or Clarion who have a full line of car audio from door speakers to touch screens to signal processors to come up with a new technology or method which allows for easy in-car pc intergration. But instead we saw more decks, amps and speakers.....meh booooooooooooring.

I have just been looking at pictures and info on other sites that have more "industry" people who post info.

I have to say there doesn't seem to be to much new stuff. Same old with a new look. I was hoping to see more small full range class D amps, and there were a few such as kenwoods, infinity's and JL's new 5 channel but that seemed to be it.

Yeah, and attendance for the show was down 22% over last year. Apparently walking around was very comfortable. Perfect year to have gone.

Blog of the bad attendance !!

No, we didn't go. We're pretty much getting out of it. It's costing us more then we make. Not good business at this time.

We've given DLS notice to find someone else......... (just like we did last year too) but we'll remain onboard until they find someone. So anyone want to start an exciting career distributing DLS Car Audio here in Canada !??!?!?!? More then happy to help someone transition into it...........

Having more fun with coffee and other stuff right now.

Friends in the industry have been telling me that even the car starters sales are

Junk, what does one need to start up as a distributor?

Some one should post some links to a few of the equipment shown at CES, that at least peaks a little interest.

So you think day to day consumers need a carpc?
