2011 Hyundai Tucson

Did an amp and sub install in a 2011 Hyundai Tucson. Sounds horrible. Used a Rockford sine wave generator direct to the amp, sounds great. Changed the line level adaptor, still sounds horrible. Factory radio, not the upgraded one with the factory sub. Could it be the adaptor? It retails for $25. It's modeled after the Navone engineering Ne-7V LOC.

I've found one LOC that was non functioning during a troubleshoot. And I'm sure if a part inside was faulty or incorrectly soldered it could cause SQ/output issues. What kind of voltage does it put out? Is it installed I'm correct phase? U said it's a copy of a navone piece. Is it lower grade?

These LOC's do about 6 volts of output. We replaced the first one with a second and still had the same issues. I have never had the Navone piece in stock, so I don't know how they compare quality wise.

Is it in phase for sure? Cause that would wreak havok on signal output and quality.
