Might sound like a newb question... but is it possible to do a 3 amp setup for a car? (2 for subs 1 4-chan for speakers)???
I mean... would it still work with the sub out etc?

You just use a Y adapter to split the sub preout.

Any reason why you want two amps instead of a 2ch amp?

There's lots of multi amp set ups out there, I'm currently running 2 for my mids and tweets (one 2 channel and one 4 channel) and two for my subs (one a piece).

Like JRace said, you just have to Y Adapt or some amps even have an RCA pass through so you can "Daisy Chain" them together.

You don't even need a Y adapter for sub outputs. The signal is mono anyway, so all you need to do is run say the right sub output to one amp, and the left to the other. It works, and it is less wire, so dont worry about spending money for an adapter.

yes only if the amp has a left mono input switch
without that your only using 1/2 your amp
