That sthe way I have my Memphis 4ch hooked up in an awesome SQ setup it works perfectly and has been for almost 3 years now. Just don't get your splitters from the dollar store and you'll be fine. LOL

Let me ask, if you leave the speakers hooked to the deck, then what does the amp power?

I would use the amp to power the speakers.

so i have it hooked up, its playing, nothing special though it can go a little louder and some mid bass comes in to play. but now im wondering if i have the rca's in the right spots?

i have a sigle rca cord with y splitters.

i have the speakers bridged

i have the cord marked red going into front left and front right

and the cord marked black going into rear left rear right

amp output has nothing in it

is this set up correct? or should i put the cords into front left, rear left and front right, rear right?

also does it matter where the black and red cord goes into because once you put the spliters in, they are not marked with colors anymore

You have it right. This way the bridged front pair becomes the left speaker and the bridged back pair becomes the right speaker.

when i put my volume up around 27 and up my speakers cut out. before i amped it i could get the volume to 25 with minimal distortion. the amp only allowed me to go up two notches on the volume ****?? and when i was turning the speakers cut out too. i cant find any loose connections
