off the drive line, thats dumb.
you would need to raise your car up to make one. or take your front end off. |
i could not even do that, my car is awd all the time!

yeah but i wouldnt be of any use when your parked and you attatched it to the drive shaft's.

so very true.
is it possible to have 4 1 fared to run one amp or is it better just to get 1 5fared capps? |

Good job picking up on Yuli's sarcasm, he is a hoot bad job not taking yuli's advice on the battery A second battery in your trunk can be dangerous if done poorly. Remember many cars come with the battery in the trunk so it can be done safely. Mount it properly (use a racing setup or you could make a custom holder that is rigidly mounted to 'frame'). ALL lead acid batteries release hydrogen when they charge, some are designed to not release hydrogen but they still do. consider a small vent over the battery to vent the gas from the battery outside the car. You could go with a larger underhood battery as an option. are all your power connections to the stereo tight? Is the voltage regulator working up to snuff, is your alternator working up to snuff? An additional or larger alternator is not a bad idea (though your system isnt all that bad-arsed) but the drive line is a little bizarrrrrr |
not sayin my system is bad arsed..
but a 70amp alt powering a 80amp amplifier + all other crap... somehow things dont add up lol... i want to put the largest possible alt but i cant find any info on what the biggest alt i can fit is... i e-ailed some guy who makes custom brackes but havent heard back.... |

It's been mentioned many many times before, but it deserves constant mention....a cap won't fix it. I won't even go as far as saying it's a band-aid fix. It's a largely unnecessary expense compared to what a good grounding upgrade would take care of. It's a tangibly easy and cost-effective measure to take, and it should ALWAYS be done to any car with a system installed. Do a search for "Big three" for more insight. :) |
Well, here's an interesting read about Capacitors.
take a look at it, I think it's worth the time ! http://www.toyotanation.com/forum/t88047.html |
