6.5" speaker advice - Hertz Dieci
 

Hello everyone, i've been doing alot of research on what are good options and found what I think will work well for me. I'll be installing Sony MET BX100BT head unit this week, which has a built-in 4 channel, 40w rms per channel amp.

I Need to replace stock speakers, this is where I need some help. Car is 2011 Mitsubishi Lancer base, has (4) 6.5 and (2) tweeters. No amp or sub.

Not interested in a sub at the moment. Possibly way later on down the road, but would rather not. I listen to punk, country and pop/rock with wife in car. Looking for clarity and volume, since I max stock radio daily.


So speakers I'm considering are Hertz Dieci DSK Components for front and DCX coaxial for rear. $298cdn for both, plus tax of course. This is pretty much where I need to be budget wise, less than $400 taxes included.

Was also thinking of adding some hushmat on speaker area of doors.

It's hard to beat the Hertz in that price range, if you can afford to add a decent amp it will really help you realize the potential of those speakers

Thanks, so far with the 40w RMS per channel amp its pretty good and clear. Instead of upgrade power to door speakers, i'm now seriously leaning towards a 10" sub. Installing power kit this weekend and borrowing a friend 10" sub/amp to try. Pretty sure i'll end up with a sub very soon

Those Hertz speakers are very efficient with a 93 dB rating, so your 40 watts per channel will sound pretty good.

Not trying to sell you on an amp, but those speakers really start waking up @ about 60-70 Watts per channel.

If your happy, that's what matters.

The components speakers you are going to use, those have the great potentiality of maximum quality sound. You can use an amplifier for this.
Well, don't need to buy the high powerful amp, better you should buy an amp that is enough for you.
You can buy BOSS R1100M amp. Reasonable with enough quality.
