6.5" speakers in a 6.75" slot??

6.5" speakers in a 6.75" slot??
Hey all,

So my car's stock speakers are listed as 6.75". Will 6.5" speakers fit in their place?

I have heard different answers. It is a 2003 Kia Rio if it makes a difference.

Many 6.5" speakers come with 6.75" adaptors for GM and Dodge cars. Not sure if the Kia is the same mount but you could probably make the adaptor work if needed.

i just slapped it in and used some non-hardening molding clay to seal around the basket.. works good
