Space is minimal in my Jeep TJ so I was lookin for a little bass. 2 6.5" subs will probably work but they are scarce. I think JL Audio makes them. Who else? What are some popular car audio places in the states since I'll be there next month. thanks

Doesn't TandBand make one? I think they do.

Supposed to be pretty decent in the right box, with at least two of them. Most 8's work well in small boxes also. |
wouldnt you rather use a single 10?
|
when you say that space is limited,.. where were you thinking of putting them? and if you do decide on the 6.5s, the avi is twice the speaker as the others listed on thus thread.

Rockford offers a 6.5" woofer as well.
Coustic used to make a sweet 6.5" woofer. I agree that if you have the physical space, use a single 10. It will probably demand less air than a pair of 6.5s. |
Delmar makes one too. Its really nice, its a little 6.5" That can really move. So I bought two. They only cost $24 each too. They are 180 watts RMS, 280W max (lots for a little wee sub eh!!?) They are 96db/watt/meter and have an FS of 46. It has a 1.5" VC, and large magnet. They really sound good. I've been meaning to build a built-to-spec box for them. There is a place here in Calgary that sells them, as well as an 8"-15" versions. Anyway, I dont know where "The Rock is" is asides from Alcatraz, but if you wanted one or two, I can ship them out to you on your behalf...

btw, maybe this link will help, but these guys dont sell that Delmar sub I was just talking about. But there is three pages of listing for 6.5" woofers, so there ya go, hope I was of a help

George thinks that one of the best 6.5 woofers ever made would be the old ADS 6.2 woofer plate. George thinks this was one of those speakers that should still be made.
