Since I haven't used/hear the 7500 and someone didn't want to sign up to post this, I'm asking for him ...

Which gets your vote ?

Two 12s, ported enclosure, space not much of a concern, looking for mostly SPL but decent SQ for daily ...

Out of those, I have only heard the Comp Vr. In a Trans Am, a single 10" Vr off of about 175 watts, in a Kicker factory slot-port box, it was  pretty loud, and played the lows nicely. I will not comment on the other subs, because I have not heard them, the Vr definitely impressed me though.

Well, I've heard the CompVR and HX2, but not the 7500 ...

On BBP6, all subs in their mfgr. recommended ported enclosures, the CompVR plots the loudest. The HX2 looks pretty flat. The 7500 looks alright ... But that's just computer-generated results, not real life. So I was hoping someone could give me an opinion based on ample listening experience with all of them ... I'm looking in your direction, Dukk ... ;)

Ah, what does he know, he only listens to subs made prior to the year 2000 anyways, old-school fool.... :D

lol - punk.

Well - I haven't played with a 7500 yet but I have played with the other two.

Some people like the HX2. I never did. I've played with them a few times and they never did what I expected them to.

In constrast, I really liked the CompVR woofers I played with. The voicecoil sure smelled a lot when ran hard but I never managed to burn one up and I liked what I heard.

I want to play with a 7500 though - it looks very interesting.

The 7500 is same as the MXS at FS, they are very nice woofers, kicked the crap out of the other two, my experience is limited with the Kicker though.

I’m probably a little biased about this subject but I just but in a 7500 12 inch in my car. It’s in a 1.8 cubic foot slot ported box and that thing will just slam when I want it to. Don’t take my word for it though go listen to it and you will be a believer too.

I've owned the punch HX2 and on a scale of 1-10, I'd give it about a 7...It was pretty loud, but it was not the best SQ sub i've ever owned...I deal with the MXS subs at work and this is deffinately the best overall sub I've seen in the store...for the price point, it is very accurate and very loud...my experience with the Kicker sub is a bit more limited as I don't sell them, but from what I've seen I have not been very impressed-very loud, but very sloppy --i'd go with the 7500/MXS that's just my opinion take it as you wish--later

I love my CVR 12.

It's pretty loud, but much more accurate than the HX2. Dukk's right it does stink when pushed hard. But whatever, a 572 Ford running on AV doesn't smell like cupcakes when pushed hard either(I prefer the 572 smell anyway)

I've yet to hear the 7500's. But I actually like the CVR better than the L7 when it comes to tonnality and accuracy.
