Correct me if i'm wrong but the DD is only offered in single 4 or dual 4 ohm coils right? I thought I might put something like a single 8 in the back of my new summer toy but didn't want to throw a whole lot of weight in there. The single 8 looks nice but I'd like it to be a final 1 ohm load for the amp that I've got...

your gonna run 500watts rms at 1ohm??? what kind of amp do you have ???

Crunch 50shc... actually they do 775x1 @ 1ohm (benched) but are rated for 25x2 into 4 ohm.... I have maybe an extra one too

8" out the window? And not to bring this back up, I dealt direct with DD a few times, and had success both times! I guess its all in who you deal with and such.
