8v Input Voltage headunits using Studio amps

Hi there, I just bought a Studio 100 and a Studio 50 amp.
Im using a Clarion DRZ9255 headunit, which is an 8v headunit.
Anyway, I have been on other forums reading that the older Studio amps can only accept up to 2.7v.. Should I be worried of any issues ??

read here onwards:

your fav SQ amp??` - DIY Mobile Audio

heres someone that used a 5v headunit

your fav SQ amp??` - Page 3 - DIY Mobile Audio

and heres someone hat has been running 8v eclipse unit with ARC amps
with no issues...

My question is has anyone been running a clarion drz9255 or any other 8v headunits with the old zapco studio amps ? Any problems ?

thanks

Not sure that I've heard of anyone using a state of the art deck with old skool mediocrity, so I'm not sure you'll find a definitive answer, you've already spoke with Robert the Zapco dude, not sure why you'd ask anyone else, I mean that's what forums are for but what answer are you looking for that Zapco themselves can't answer?

I see absolutely no reason why it would create a problem unless whaling sine waves at full blast (the only time you'll see anywhere near 8v)

the only true way for YOU to know, since you already own the equipment is to plug them in and try right?

you wont damage anything, the worst that can happen is a bit of noise, then you'd have your answer.

I dont know what I was thinking !
The DRZ9255 is 4 volt not 8 volt
I must have been confused because it's 8 channel deck...LoL

Disregard this entire thread...
