90amp alternator? that about average for stock?

just wondering if a 90amp alt is about average for stock....or by chance how it stacks up against the rest.
For those of you with a similarly powerful alt, how many amps do you pull from it? or try to lol.
I think i'm pulling....well i dunno what i'm pullin exactly it's about 1020rms total. Ok i looked it up, i pull 130A plus i dunno if you can count the HU as pulling anything.
My car doesn't completely give the option of doing hte big 3...so i put a better ground in for the battery and things dim a lil when at a stop with the system as loud as i feel it can go while sounding good, but while driving all is fine.

If you have a 90 amp alt and your trying to pull 130 amps your still only getting 90 amps. Now with that being said if you continuously try to suck 130 amps out of a 90 amp alt you will burn it out. The big 3 change will only help you get all of the 90 amps available. Either way you need to upgrade your alt eventualy.

it's currenlty a ford thunderbird supercoupe
it will soon be turning into a chrysler lol...jeep cherokee or grand cherokee...but both use a 90Amp alt
So...i'm to understand, my system could be that much louder if i had a bigger alt? hmm. That being said, bigger amps pull about 120A and up....if a person's got two of those plus whatever other speakers....they don't make alts that produce like 230 do they?
i thought i remembered aftermarket alts being like 150-170 and what not.

Your amps will not be pulling 230 amps in an everyday situation. For SPL it is very important that your alternators handle the power as long as the vehicle is allowed to be running. For SQ nd everyday systems the stock alternator are fine. I used a 35 amp generator for years on my Beetle with as much as 900 watts RMS. You will hardly ever run your system at full output (unless you listen to test tones at full volume for a couple hours a day.)

i'm attempting to setup an account with a U.S. supplier, and will be building h/o alternators, and doing rewinds too.
