About KICKER CVR's

OK question # 1...I have 2 COMP vr subwoofers 2 ohm dual voice coil 400 RMS in a dual 12" enclosure

would these be the proper type of amps to looks for

1) 2-channel 400 RMS @ 2 ohms

2) Monoblock 800 RMS @ 4 ohms

ALSO when these subs were 400 RMS each, but when loaded into a box the guy told me they are now 300RMS each for a total of 600 RMS...why is that:S

your options for those subs are 2 ohm, and 0.5 ohm... BTW...

sure, either of those 2 options would work out well, from a power standpoint at least..

Actually the second option works better....your drivers can be wired to either 4ohm or 1ohm per driver, so the first amp would have to do 400 X 2 at 1 or 4ohms for the same power per driver....

Much harder to find an amp that does 800wrms @ 4ohms X 1....they are out there, but the variety of 800 - 1,000wrms @ 1ohm mono amps helps keep the prices down....
