About to replace the stock gear in the new Santa Fe :)
So just got the new Santa Fe a few weeks ago, so obviously the first thing on order is a stereo upgrade. Getting it done professionally this time so I don't mess up the new ride :sly:
Been riding an old 2001 Protege for a while, and had to take the sub out when the baby was born. Now the sub and baby strolled can coexist :) Anyways, here's what's going in.... Santa Fe 2010: Deck: AVH-P3200BT Pioneer Double DIN Multimedia AV Receiver Rear Doors: Alpine Type R 6.5" SPR-17C 100rms Front Doors: Alpine SPR Alpine Type R 6.5" SPR-17C 90rms Doors powered by Alpine MRP-F300 4ch (2ohm/50w rms) Subwoofer: 10" Alpine SWR-1022D (2ohm/500rms) Powered by Alpine MRD-M605 (600rms) I'm *hoping* the install place can hide the sub in the hidden compartment in the trunk. This way we can use the trunk 100% when need be, and not need to move a damn thing. So anxious!!! UPS is slow as mollases; *and* I gotta pay your stupid brokerage fee?!? *grumbles* ;) Anyways, what do you think guys? |

Good equipment...should sound good with a proper install. Some don't like type R comps, but that's a personal thing. As long as you've heard them and like the sound then that's all that matters. As far as reliability, Alpine and Pioneer have been two of the best brands I've used in the last 25 years, so you should expect long service and no problems.
