Ok, so my friend has a ford bronco 2 1988 or 89 that i now hate with a passion. Ok heres the deal he bought a mtx 1501d from me and we tried putting it in his bronco last night. He had a older style pioneer amp running two eclipse twelves. When we took that one out and swapped in the new amp nothing in the bronco worked(audio wise)
There was just a high pitched signal sound coming out of his components from the front stage. The 1501d will work till the gain starts to be turned up more than half and then something similar to clipping happens. The subs kinda cut out and fart all over the place. Also they are picking up noise or a signal from somwhere else because the subs are making music that doesnt belong in the song.
So we ran RCA's from my buddies accord and tried thae amp and they both worked fine so we know that the amps were not the source of the problem (I hope). So then we ran new rcas in the bronco and they worked fine off the deck so we know it wasnt the decks outputs. So then we tried the existing RCA's and they also worked fine.
Ok so heres where it gets tricky When the rcas or just the remote wire is in the 1501 the 2 channel on the components picks u a hissing noise similar to the hiss the 1501d's make. So i unhook all the 1501d's connections and the 2 channel works fine with the bronco off. As soon as he starts the bronco the 2 channel picks up mega noise does anyone have one sweet idea whats going on
i'll continue the post in a few supper time someone help me out here.

Its the power harness that runs right above the deck. Move those wires, or find something (lead) to put around the deck. sweet truck btw.

the power harness that runs above the deck the only thing above the four wheel drive wiring so i thought but il take a look any ways thanks. My main question is why did it just start now and only when the engine is running. Could it possibly have something to do with the alternator. :D

What guage of wire did you have for the Pioneer? did you use the same wiring for the MTX?You need at least 2 guage for that amp.

What happens when you turn the steering wheel left and right?

there was four gauge wired in the bronco i know that it requires 0/1 gauge it says on the back but do you think that is the problem cause even when the 1501 is not hooked up the 2 channel gets a noise that sounds like engine noise mixed with static, but only when the bronco is on. the 1501 was swapped in the stereo last week and worked fine i dont know why this is happening now.
