Adding A Game Console
So today I decided to add my PS2 in my car. I mounted the console under the passenger seat while hiding all the wiring there aswell.
I then routed the video/audio RCA cables to the area behind my deck. As of right now my deck is in repairs, but something occured to me... My video cable (yellow) will go into the back of my LCD monitor, but where am I going to hook up my audio RCA cables (red/white)? I dont have AUX funtion on my deck (CDA 9886) without using the AI-NET cable. |
That will be an interesting hurdle... :) Can't you buy a AI-NET cable that has input RCA's on it?

Not sure. I know they make an ALPINE TV-TUNER box type module... only thing is i'm not down to drop $100+ on that unit |
A quick google yields this. :) Part- KCA121b

Oh sh!t right on man. Alright so that solves that issue, but heres the next... What if I wanna use my iPod? Anyway to split the AI-NET signal so that I dont have to pull the deck out and switch from iPod cable to AUX cable all the time? |
Sure just don't turn them both on at the same time.

hook the ps2 up to a radio transmiter

9886 has a dedicated full function i-pod input.
I have the same deck. |

I have the same deck. To be honest I dont have an iPod anymore, so I figure I'm just going to pickup that AUX cable and go from there |
No there are 3 connections.
AI-Net small round connector near the power connector. USB dongle connection. Ipod dongle connection. |
