Advice needed- factory or Alpine?

This is my first post and I’m looking forward to hearing advice from the folks here.
Last month I bought a new Chevy Colorado (2018) and immediately made an appointment to upgrade its stereo system. What came with it was pretty disappointing. I don’t need to thump down the street, personally. But I enjoy a good sound stage and the truck runs quietly enough to enjoy it.
Anyway, we spec’d out Diamond Audio hex series speakers, Diamond amp/crossovers, and an Alpine ILX-107 head unit.
The head unit is where I’ve had some disenchantment. It’s a great unit; I’m not here to say anything bad about it. The thing is, despite the Maestro harness and such, I ended up losing a lot of Chevy-stuff simply because of the way things are so deeply integrated.
Here’s what I lost when moving to the aftermarket head:
-Trajectory on the rear camera
-On-Star turn by turn (I actually liked it)
-On Star diagnostics
-teen driver and several small features like that
What I gained with the Alpine:
-Slightly better graphics

I feel less comfortable overall with the various factory functions being gone even though none of them individually are all that important. The wireless CarPlay was desired, and it’s fine. But it takes a long time to sync, and it gets messed up just often enough that I’m not “in love” with it.

I’ve been told that I could get an “AudioControl LCQ-1” DSP and use that behind the factory head unit in order to keep most of the sound quality I’ve gained with the new amp and speakers, while getting back the factory features.

Im guessing that audio purests may cite a reduced quality? I’m mainly streaming from Spotify so I guess I’d have to ask how much of a hit in quality would I see?

I think I’d like to got back to the stock head unit but I’d really like to hear from folks who know about this stuff. Is it possible to use the factory + DSP to get things working well? Or should I just get used to life with the Alpine?

thanks for any advice.

Hey. Yes, the problem is a friend of my own Toyota Camry V50 2013. I couldn’t decide for a long time and understand what device can be installed and whether it is suitable at all? Until I found one article, it turned out these guys are professionally engaged in the sale of these tape recorders. Decided to check. I threw them a photo of the central consol, as they asked. After that, they reported that the device can be installed without problems. Ordered spent the payment. The head unit was installed without problems, with this one friend helped me. Who wants to write to them, I personally was very pleased. SMARTY Trend? - the best brand of high quality Android Car Stereo Navigation In-Dash head units - SMARTY Trend? Company
