Air bag light turned on from BASS
 

WTF? I was diving this morning listening to Good to go from YW and all of a sudden my airbag light turned on... :dunno:

It's never turned on before, and I have to say... that song was SLAMMING!!! When I got home I turned the van off then started it back up. It stayed on for about 30 seconds after all the other lights went out then it shut off...

Anyone ever had this happen to them? I sure as hell don't want to get smacked in the face by an airbag one day when I'm driving down the road. :smokin:

hahaha that song is awesome. I was gonna use it for bassrace but itt just short of 30 seconds. I might slow it down and see how it goes for saturday

oh, and nope never happened to me. but now I'm worried my airbags are just for show

Actually it was quite scary when it happened. I don't know what made it trigger the idiot light (it NEVER happened before), but if that airbag would have gone off, it could have caused a serious accident. :ohwell:

Are we allowed to use "slowed"(a.k.a. modified) music now? If not, just start a couple seconds late. :dunno:

I'm playing with a song right now that I start 3 seconds into the race, then unpause. Ends almost with a perfect 39.9 everytime. I just have to find a way to keep my rpm steady. :sly:

the air bag light doesn't come one before it deploys, at least mine didn't, then again i wasn't looking at the dash when i crashed.

it usually means something is wrong, like when i drove my car after the crash with the bags deployed.


if you know anyone with a tech 2 or even a simple code reader, it should be saved and you can read what the code was to call it up.

Mine is on all the time. lol.



I don't know what you drive, but check and make sure that the wire connections to your seatbelt buckle are tight and the contacts are clean under your front seats. (If there are wires there)

my cav would make the ABS light go on

go get it scanned it will show up it shouldent make it esplode on you tho!

i got a way for you to keep RPM steady will have to show you next time im out that way!

if the light is on the air bags are deactivated for security. could be just a loose wire.

Thanks guys, my ABS light comes on all the time from the bass. When it's on I know my ABS is disabled. I didn't think about the code reader for the airbag, I've got one. I'm going to check it in the morning. :)
