How hard would it be to wire in a second horn inside the car, like under a seat or the dash or something....

Going to be installing a decent system here very very soon and I want to make this thing as unpassable as humanly possible, minus the guard dog...

Have some ideas already, but this is one I have heard rumors of being done, but want to know how really fesable it is....

You install screamers I think there called instead of a horn, there are insane on the ears and no matter where it's mounted its damn ass loud..

This sounds good...

Thanks Chizzer...

Now does anyone know anyone in Calgary that sells these things? and how much?

^Screamers are barely offensive.

In the Avenger we did I installed both a car horn and a regular alarm siren inside the car - try sticking your head a foot from one of those Had them down at the bottom of the dash too - a special treat for the guy looking for the alarm wires

I accidentally set the alarm off while inside the car and almost pissed myself it was so loud.

How hard is to get an extra horn and how hard is it to tie into the "under hood"horn?

And is it expensive?

There are a couple ways to go about this...

All the sirens I have seen have the amplifier for the siren built in.. take it apart and remove the amp... now mount it somewhere safe and hook up 2 similar trumpet speakers in parrallel that have 2x the nominal impedance.. (or 2 with 1/2 nom. impedance in series ect.. )

another way to do it would be with 2 seperate amp/sirens on the same output from your brain... there may be some implications to doing this...

You could also take the output from the siren and run that into a seperate amplifier and run all the sirens you want off of that...

my buddy has 2 screamers in his car and it was stupid loud, you couldn't keep yourself in the car for more then half a min it was enough to keep my ass outta the car.

the bronco has two horns, have you heard them yet Aaron? :D

Thumper89 11-15-2004 02:10 AM

well....all I know is I want it set up in such a way, that if they get in the car, either they wont be able to handle the noise or they wont be able to diable it by the time I get there....and god have mercy on em if I catch em!!!

Well if you could get it smuggled into Canada get an alarm from Africa because there it's legal to have a flamethrower alarm system....that it teach those bastard thefts.
